I always enjoy a grand collaboration project. This is the second time I have worked with Rich on one of his Prowler builds. Rich is a damn fine fabricator as you can see designing and building the touchscreen bezel, a rear speaker and woofer deck, and finally a subwoofer enclosure for the trunk area. All of these pieces finished in matching Prowler dark blue paint.
My talent of meticulous wiring brought Rich’s fabrication design together. I completed the integrated wiring of the OEM speaker wires to the new Alpine six channel amplifier that I installed utilizing the factory cd changer location. This design allowed easy access for Rich to finalize the audio amplifier settings. A set of six channel Stinger 6000 premium audio cables connect a Pioneer NEX modular touchscreen to the amplifier while also providing an additional 50 watts of power to the dash midrange speakers. To highlight the OEM features I maintained the steering wheel button controls to work with the new touchscreen receiver.
Dedicated 4 gauge oxygen free copper power and ground wiring is exquisitely routed along the frame of the vehicle and finished off with a Stinger 100 amp MIDI fuse holder with 4G ring terminals on each of the battery lugs.
All wiring is secured and finished using a mix of different specialty products. Classic black split loom, heat shrink, exterior abrasion tape, interior vibration cloth tape, super 33+, electronic solder, and zip ties.
