C6 meets D8 amplifier and WOW, WOW, WOW!!

From factory the C6 is equipped with the 7 speaker Bose DSP audio system. When compared to the car’s performance the sound system comes in last place.

This C6 Corvette was in the shop for us to do the job right. After removing another shop’s botched amplifier installation in this vehicle we pull up the audio wiring schematics and then meter the impedance of each speaker location. Now we know the car has 7 speakers with their impedance ranging from 2 to 4 ohms. A perfect fit for the Musway D8 amplifier.

Musway amplifiers are all the rage in the European car audio scene with numerous hi-fi awards. The D8 amplifier is an ultra compact high end 8 channel amplifier with 50 watts of power per channel and built-in DSP. Every channel can be set up and controlled separately via a laptop program.

With our laptop plugged into the D8 we set the parameters for each of the 7 speakers. After the tuning was complete it was time to deliver the car.
